On 22 May 2026, the Department of English at BINUS University conducted a Research Paper Development Workshop on Friday, 22 May 2026, at Lab HI, BINUS Kijang Campus. Held from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM, the workshop brought together approximately 25 students from different cohorts, including B27, B28, and B29, alongside lecturers from the Creative Digital English program.

The workshop was designed to strengthen students’ academic writing skills and support their efforts to publish research in reputable international outlets. Through a presentation, Prof. Clara Herlina Karjo shared insights, strategies, and pitfalls related to publishing research papers in academic journals and conferences. She emphasized the importance of developing a well-structured research paper, from crafting a compelling introduction and conducting a thorough literature review to presenting clear results and drawing meaningful conclusions. She also introduced participants to various academic tools that can assist researchers throughout the writing process, including literature search platforms, reference management software, and writing support applications.

Beyond the presentation session, the workshop featured an interactive collaborative writing activity. Students and lecturers worked closely together to review and refine student research papers that are being prepared for submission to Scopus-indexed conferences and journals. Through constructive feedback and guided discussions, participants were able to improve the clarity and structure of their manuscripts.

As the participating students move forward with revising and submitting their papers, it is hoped that the knowledge and feedback gained from this workshop can contribute significantly to their success in publishing high-quality research in internationally recognized academic venues.
