By the author : The poem was inspired by John Green’s book, “The Fault in Our Stars”, which tells  a heart-wrenching and poignant novel that revolves around two teenage protagonists, Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters. Hazel Grace is grappling with late-stage cancer, while Augustus Waters is a fellow cancer survivor. The love story between Hazel and Augustus shows how love and happiness can be found in the midst of suffering and physical limitations. All love stories will not all have happy endings.
