Shannicka Tamar Manuhutu, or Deisha as we call her, was a HIMSI president, a part time editor at The Jakarta Post, and a devoted student. What’s more, she participated in a student exchange program in United States for 6 months.  While she was there, in addition to taking classes, Deisha actively participated in students’ organization and journalism club. With her tight schedule, she certainly made the best of her time while she was a student.

When asked to make a testimonial video about her experience as a student of English department, Deisha instantly agreed. In the video, she shared her appreciation of the lecturers and  her experience of getting and moving upward with her passions and choices of career as a journalist. Deisha currently works for the Public Affair section at the US embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia.
