A group of 3rd semester students taking  G0862 – American Culture and Society,   was given a wonderful surprise when an American musician named Daniel Miller paid a visit to their class. Daniel is a graduate from Lawrence University and currently doing a research in Indonesia on Computer Music, Ecological and Ambient Sound.

It didn’t take a long time for Daniel to merge with the students and  got involved in the talk about the topic of the day: Reconstruction, Jazz and Depression. Questions flowed and Daniel was more than happy to answer them; which are mostly about Music, Culture, and life in the United States.

Ms. Retnowati, the lecturer for the subject, is very pleased with Daniel’s visit and hopes that students have gained positive exposure and authentic information from an American on America.
