Exploring Collaboration Possibilities with UKI’s English department
Part of what Risa has to do as Head of our department is to create opportunities for strategic collaborations with external parties. In the recent past, Risa has bridged some collaboration with some distinguished partners like British Council, EF, AMINEF, Minsitry of Foreign Affairs, IKEA, American Embassy and British Embassy. Other universities have also been our mutual partners in the field of research, students’ development and seminars/ workshops.
To strengthen our bond with other higher education institutions, Risa went to UKI ( Indonesia Christian University) in East Jakarta. Her agenda was to seek for possibilities to have mutual collaboration with the English department and the Faculty of Letters. She met the head of UKI’s English department, Dr. Masda Sari Simutupang and the Dean of the Faculty of Letters and had a fruitful discussion.
In the meeting, both department shared some of their best practices in running the department and both agree to have further collaborations on students’ and lecturers’ academic development programs, collaborative research and some other points that will synergize both parties. We wish to thank Ibu Masda and Ibu Ied for such a warm reception. We are looking forward to the implementation of the programs.
