As artificial intelligence reshapes how people learn, work, and create, students in linguistics and literature continue to have questions about their own relevance. Addressing this issue, BIFEST 2026 will present a talkshow titled “Be Creative, Be Digital (In the Age of AI).”

The session will bring together experts from applied linguistics, English literature, and digital technology to discuss how creativity, critical thinking, and human-centered communication remain essential in an AI-driven world. The talkshow aims to offer insights into how students can adapt while maintaining the core strengths of their disciplines.

It will feature three speakers: Dr. Risa R. Simanjuntak, Danu Widhyatmoko, and Dr. Andreas Akun. The discussion will be moderated by Irfan Rifai, Ph.D., Head of the Creative Digital English (CDE) Department.

Scheduled for Wednesday, 6 May 2026, the talkshow will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Hall 800, 8th Floor, Anggrek Campus. The session will also offer SAT points and is mandatory for all active Creative Digital English students.
