On 9 April 2026, a webinar was held by BINUS University’s Creative Digital English department through Zoom. Entitled “Channel Digitization and Expansion – The Move to Digital/Hybrid Products and Channels”, the webinar was hosted by CDE alumnus Lolen Windra, CEO of Space&Shapes and the moderator was Head of Department Irfan Rifai.

After introductions, Windra laid out his company’s purpose as a digital agency and, after some nudging from Rifai, touted their A&M Award in AI Marketing, which they received at the Retail Reboot Summit in Dubai.

Windra then recounted how he started and grew his company, from making calls to having clients spread word of the agency to prioritizing larger companies after the pandemic shuttered smaller ones. He espoused that an entrepreneur had to learn to deal with constant rejection – to live with failure while still striving to achieve their goals.

Afterward, he showed several examples of viral marketing methods and then discussed the state of AI usage with Rifai. Before ending the session, they opened a Q&A. One of the questions was asked by yours truly regarding the frequency of cold calls the company had to make as its reputation grew. Windra answered that, at a certain point, once they made themselves known, marketing took precedent.

Throughout the webinar, Windra repeatedly emphasized that he hoped his experiences could serve as examples for the students attending. He admitted that he had learned everything he knew on the fly, including tackling projects on a scale the company had never seen before. Beyond hashtags and affiliate links, he considered two things the most important for an entrepreneur: luck and perseverance.
