On 5 December 2025, Creative Digital English (CDE) and Binus Journal were honored to host Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arbaayah Ali Termizi from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) as the main speaker in two fruitful academic events.

Her keynote lecture, Adapting Shakespeare: The Intercultural Landscape of Malaysian Theatre, offered a scholarly exploration of how Shakespeare’s plays have been reimagined within the Malaysian theatrical tradition. Drawing on intercultural and performance studies perspectives, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arbaayah highlighted the dynamic processes through which global literary canons are localized, negotiated, and transformed, while also situating Malaysian adaptations within broader international theatre practices. The lecture provided valuable insights for students and academics interested in literature, theatre studies, cultural adaptation, and postcolonial performance.

The academic program continued with a specialized session entitled The Art of Agreeing to Disagree: Mastering Reviewer Feedback, which addressed a crucial aspect of scholarly life: responding effectively to peer review. In this session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arbaayah shared expert strategies for interpreting reviewers’ comments, engaging constructively with critical feedback, and revising manuscripts to enhance their academic rigor and publication potential.

The event concluded with an invitation for participants to further develop their research writing skills. Attendees were encouraged to submit samples of their manuscripts for discussion and feedback by contacting Binus Journal team at RTT, BINUS University. This initiative reflects BINUS University’s ongoing commitment to fostering international academic collaboration, research excellence, and professional development for its academic community.
