Friday (June 4, 2021) saw the completion of another KASS webinar, which was attended by many educators. A number of interesting talks were presented. The event started with the Head of English Department, Mr. Irfan, who discussed the language used on online classes and how the teacher might humanise interactions by adapting how the teacher responds to students. The second presentation involved Ms. Finita describing several metaphors that she uses to interpret different online learning experiences. Finally, Mr. Willy shared a number of key concepts related to effective teaching.

The event was well attended and included an extensive question and answer session at the end, where participants discussed topics such as students’ fear or anxiety, giving feedback to students, the concept of a student centred class, essential skills relevant to building better relationships with students.
