Faculty Member Profile: Risa Simanjuntak.

Dr. Risa Rumenta Simanjuntak’s research focuses on rhetorics in academic writing. With genre approach she reveals various patterns and conventions in the writings of different disciplines, consisting of moves and lexical strategies. She believes that students need to be taught how to join in the conversations of their own field in order to succeed in their academic endeavours and in real world competitions as graduates.

Dr. Simanjuntak has disseminates her research in various international conferences and summits. She has also written journal articles and book chapter. Her research interests are in technology in learning, autonomous learning, and corpus-based language studies.
