It has been said that your university years are the best years of your life. In this short article we have some suggestions about how you can get the most out of your time at university.

  1. Don’t be ashamed to ask for help

If you are having a hard time or feel confused about your assignments, don’t be ashamed to ask for  help from your lecturer. They can help you by giving their opinions and by explaining the rules to help you to understand with your assignments.

  1. Get involved in extracurricular activities

If you’re an active person who loves taking part in activities, especially sports, you can register join an extracurricular group at your university. By joining an extracurricular group, you won’t get bored in your free time and you will get new experiences and make new friends.

  1. Make New friends

One of the best things in university is making new friends. You will meet your new friends from other countries and other parts of your own country. Amazing isn’t it?. By making new friends, you can learn their cultures, customs, etc.  If you want to learn another language, they can help you to speak and write in their languages. You also can teach your language to them as well.

  1. Learn how to speed read

If you want to improve your reading skills, you can practice by speed reading. You can practice while you’re reading articles, news, books, etc. If you don’t understand the meaning or any vocabulary in the sentence, make a circle using a highlighter, then you can write the meaning close by in pencil. This way you can gain new vocabulary and improve your reading skills too.

  1. Stay healthy / eat right

If you have a busy schedule, don’t get enough sleep, east too much fast food, or feel tired with your extra curricular activities, you could get sick easily.  You need to take care of yourself by getting enough sleep, taking your vitamins and eating right.

  1. Make a time for you

Even if you are busy with your classes, you still need to find some time to relax and take the stress out of the day. You can listen to music, do some yoga, watch tv shows, go jogging, sing karaoke or spend time with your friends. Be good to yourself and give your brain a break.

  1. Review your notes before class

Reviewing your notes is very important. It also helps you to mmemorize lesson content more easily and keep you prepared before your exam. You also get more confident in class and feel easier to pass your exams if you are feeling prepared.

  1. Have a study space

 It might be in a library, your bedroom, or a café. You need a place where you can fully concentrate on your study. When no one is disturbing you, you can finish your things much more quickly. Moreover, by concentrating on your study, you will get a lot of new information  and gain more knowledge.
