Holidays or Die!
A new trend in research is to ask the question: How important are holidays for workers? Well, the good news is that research seems to suggest that holidays are good for everyone! The video below even suggests that if you do not take a holiday from work every year, you have a 37% greater chance of dying. A company in New Zealand has recently announced that it is offering its employees the chance to choose a four day work week (yes – they will still be paid for five days). The company claims that productivity is just as high and even higher because employees are fresh and feel less jaded after an extensive rest.
