CSR Activity at Center for Civic Education
Led by Wiwik and Akun, the lecturers’ team comprising Menik and Abdul Aziz as members went to Menteng to give trainings on making good slogans in English on June 29, 2015. The participants were all high school students who happen to be members of Center for Civic Education (CCE). CCE Indonesia is a Non-Profit organization involved in civic education program. Since 2002, CCE Indonesia has provided trainings for Indonesian teachers and students for programs such as Civic Education Training, Exchange Programs, and Camp Programs. So, it was a privilege to take part in one of their programs.
Aging from 15 -16 years old, the participants showed determination and attentiveness in learning to create catchy, meaningful slogans. The session lasted for two hours. Taking the first turn were two of our senior lecturers, Wiwik and Akun where they talked about the basics of slogan writing in English. Abdul Aziz and Menik took the second turn to put students into scenarios where they had to produce and reproduce good to great slogans.
As part of our obligation to give back to community, our lecturers regularly join the programs that maximize the opportunities of sharing knowledge and practices. We thank Community Development Unit for supporting us with the opportunities [irf].
