Presenting at International Conference on Language, Literature, Culture and Sustainability, Singapore
Part of what we do as academics are to conduct research and then disseminate the findings to other academics. That was just what Akun and Wiwik , two of our senior lecturers, did when joining The International Conference on Language, Literature, Culture and Sustainability in Singapore 0n 24 – 25 January 2015. Taking place in the Fullerton Bay Hotel, Singapore, the conference was attended by presenters coming from a number different countries, with only Akun and Wiwik representing Indonesia.
Akun and Wiwik were presenting their research article titled ” Pluralism and Hydribity in instant poems: Taxonomizing Indonesian students’ degree of nationalism through their creative process” and received warm responses from fellow presenters.
Even though the scopus – indexed conference lasted only for two days, yet Akun and Wiwik felt privileged that they had the opportunity to share their research findings and learned from other presenters, as well as to have developed their networks and connections.
We continuously support our lecturers to extend their network and to develop their professionalism as lecturers [irf].
