Members of English department’s Journalism club  were contented with the fact they had been able to elect a new president for the club they dearly love on June 28, 2014. Debby Andita Gandasaputra,a 4th semester student, was elected through the club’s  annual General Meeting held on the day.

Journalism Club is one of the clubs under English department which is fully organized by students of English department. There have been two activities run by the club;  F2F ( Face 2 face, a TV talk show program) and Glides (a digital and print  magazine).  Being the third president of the club , Debby addressed the importance of the club to move forward and improve the quality of the productions, the quantity and the quality of the members and innovations to be made for the good of the club.

The second president , Mereditha, handed over the responsibility of developing the club to Debby and  stated her commitment to be engaged with any activities that the new president is going to do. Thank you Mereditha and team ! It has been a wonderful year for Journalism Club.

We would also  like to express our gratitude to the supervisors of the club:  Mr. Abdul ‘Comi’ Aziz Kariko and Ms. Criscentia Jessica, who have guided our students and helped them grow.

In English department, learning does not only happen in the classroom.
