Monday, May 13 is certainly a day to remember for many English department students, especially those taking Australian Culture & Society course this semester. Ms. Vicki Miller, the Cultural attache of Australian Embassy,  and her team came visiting Bina Nusantara university to have a day of Australian cultural features and tastes in M2CD, Syahdan Campus.

Ms. Vicki Miller held a very interesting and engaging quiz session with students with lots of Australian-made presents. The questions were mostly taken from the RED DOG movie that students have watched and the  slides she was presenting.

Vegemite is a popular food paste made of yeast extracts. Its unusual taste ( to Indonesians) is well known  and the following student, Tiara, won the opportunity to taste it first. It surely tastes different, right, Tiara?

The quiz and the tasting sessions did not stop until 4.30 pm.  Mereditha, our MC for the event, finally called the event to an end. We are surely thankful for the opportunity of having Ms. Vicki Miller and her team from the Australian embassy on Monday. We hope this ‘Mateship’ spirit between us and the Australian embassy will be renewed in the upcoming events.

Catch ya later, mates!
