Subject Content Specialist – Literary Expressions

As an avid reader, Paramita Ayuningtyas has always been a literature enthusiast, particularly postcolonial, multicultural, and feminist literature. She shows interest in gender studies and popular culture studies as well.

In English department, she teaches prose, poetry, drama, and literary criticism. She also has received a number of awards from Binus, namely Best Teaching Performance in 2018 and Best Lecturer of Faculty Member Subject Content Specialist in 2019.

Paramita has presented her research in several conferences. Her paper “Empowerment and Resistance in Instagram Posts by Independent Bookstores” is awarded one of the best papers in The Asia Pacific Research in Social Sciences and Humanities 2019.

Her upcoming research topics include literary festivals in Asia and contemporary Asian American literature. She is always eager to talk about literature and can be reached at paramita@binus.edu.
